Today is the beginning of a new phase, one without a little toddler at home. Our youngest one is going to kindergarten for the first time.
I promised him a handmade backpack, but I couldn’t find a pattern that met all my requirements:
- a good toddler size
- easy to open
- an extra pocket for his water bottle
- enough space for spare clothes
- an extra internal pocket
- a pattern that did justice to the fabric
So I decided to make my own pattern. Luckily it turned out just perfect.
Our son is happy, mommy is really happy and even big brother was happy. He already ordered one for himself.
The fabrics are a design of Zesti, and printed by Spoonflower. I won Ine’s give away, and got these wonderful prints on eco cotton.
